Newby and Banks Put York Ahead

Newby's opener was a first-time effort from 25 yards that flew inside Connor Ripley's right-hand post. It followed an Alex Hunt corner that Stephan Negru could only head clear. Banks then aimed for the same side of the goal from a similar distance, and a deflection carried his shot past Ripley's outstretched arm. Jeff King was credited with the assist.
