Wrexham produced a night to remember at the Stok Cae Ras as they dumped Premier League Nottingham Forest out of the FA Cup third round, beating Sean Dyche's side 4-3 on penalties after a six-goal thriller finished 3-3. Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo was the hero with shootout saves from Igor Jesus and Omari Hutchinson, sealing the Championship side's first top-flight FA Cup scalp since 1999.
Watched by Hollywood co-owner Ryan Reynolds, Phil Parkinson's side had led 2-0 and 3-1 through Liberato Cacace, Ollie Rathbone and Dom Hyam, only for Callum Hudson-Odoi to strike twice off the bench and force extra time. After a goalless additional 30 minutes, Josh Windass, Callum Doyle, George Thomason and Jay Rodriguez held their nerve from 12 yards as Wrexham booked their place in round four.
Cacace and Rathbone Punish Sloppy Forest
Forest, showing eight changes from the side that won 2-1 at West Ham three days earlier, started the brighter but lacked incision. They thought they had gone ahead on 18 minutes when Douglas Luiz drilled in from close range, only for the goal to be chalked off for handball by the Brazilian midfielder. Rathbone had a shot blocked and Okonkwo parried Luiz's free-kick before Sam Smith dragged an effort wide for the hosts.
