Stoke City captain Ben Wilmot struck twice, including an 89th-minute equaliser, to earn his side a 2-2 draw against Gary Rowett's Leicester City and spoil the manager's first game in charge of the Foxes.
Wilmot had headed Stoke in front inside three minutes, but on-loan teenager Divine Mukasa and Harry Winks turned the game on its head before the defender completed his brace late on. Leicester, who would have climbed out of the Championship relegation zone with a win following their six-point deduction, then rattled the woodwork twice in stoppage time but could not force a winner, extending worrying winless runs for both clubs.
Stoke's flying start and set-piece supremacy
Stoke came flying out of the blocks and were ahead inside three minutes. After Leicester failed to clear a corner convincingly, the ball was worked back out to Aaron Cresswell on the left and the full-back delivered a superb cross that Wilmot attacked, powering a downward header beyond Asmir Begovic for his second league goal of the season.
