Leyton Orient claimed their first League One win of the season with a 2-0 victory at Wigan Athletic's Brick Community Stadium, a result that leaves the home side bottom of the table without a win from their opening two matches.
Tony Springett put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute, and Yusuf Akhamrich doubled their lead in the 57th, the two goals settling the contest.
Wigan had the greater share of the ball, 61% possession to Orient's 39%, and led 15 shots to 9, but managed only two efforts on target to Orient's three and could not turn their possession into a route back into the game.
Four players were booked, all yellow cards and no dismissals: Wigan's Max Power on 17 minutes, then Orient's Jaze Kabia on 34, Isaac Hayden on 72 and Idris El Mizouni deep into stoppage time on 92. Orient goalkeeper Nathan Baxter was forced off injured on 41 minutes, replaced by Noah Phillips.
