West Bromwich Albion produced a rousing second-half comeback to beat Swansea City 3-2 at The Hawthorns, overturning a two-goal deficit in a breathless Championship contest. The visitors surged into an early 2-0 lead through Zan Vipotnik and Ethan Galbraith, only for in-form striker Aune Heggebo to haul Albion level with a quickfire brace after the interval. Jayson Molumby, back from suspension, then struck an 85th-minute winner to condemn Swansea to a fifth successive defeat and lift Ryan Mason's side up to 13th in the table.
Vitor Matos' team had looked in complete control during an outstanding opening spell, scoring one of the quickest goals ever seen at this ground and doubling their advantage inside 11 minutes. But after a woeful first-half display that drew boos from home supporters, Mason's four half-time substitutions transformed both the performance and the mood, as West Brom found the energy and belief to exploit a vulnerable Swansea side whose recent slide shows no sign of slowing.
Swansea's Lightning Start Silences The Hawthorns
Swansea stunned The Hawthorns within seconds of kick-off as Vipotnik struck one of the fastest goals in Championship history. Ben Cabango launched a long ball forward which Nat Phillips headed clear, but Goncalo Franco cushioned a clever first-time pass into the box, sending Vipotnik clear to execute a deft lob over Josh Griffiths for his seventh league goal of the season.
