Jensen Weir's superb strike from 25 yards settled a tense League One contest as Wigan Athletic beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 at the Brick Community Stadium. The win moved Wigan out of the relegation zone, while Huddersfield's play-off hopes took a dent.
Huddersfield had the better of the first half but were unable to find a way through, and Wigan made them pay after the break with the only goal of the game.
