Exeter and Wigan shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 League One draw at St James Park, Callum Wright's first-half opener for the Latics ultimately cancelled out by Jayden Wareham early in the second half.
Wright gave the visitors a 24th-minute lead before Wareham responded soon after the interval for the hosts, with both sides creating further chances in a game that had plenty to admire after the break.
Wright Punishes A Bright Wigan Start
Wigan had the first chance of the game, but Jason Kerr headed wide when he was left unmarked at a corner. Wright was then thwarted by Joe Whitworth when he found himself one-on-one with the Exeter goalkeeper.
