Promotion-chasing Walsall slipped two places to fifth in League Two as they were held to a scrappy stalemate by Accrington at the Bescot Stadium.
The Saddlers' top scorer Daniel Kanu came closest to breaking the deadlock with a second-half header that crashed back off the woodwork, but Stanley held out for a point.
Attritional Opening Half
Both teams struggled to create chances in an attritional first half. Alex Pattison went close for Walsall early on when he rippled the side netting from an acute angle, before firing over on the stretch as the interval approached.
