Udoh Header Settles Derby After Protest Delays Salford's Win Over Oldham

· Match Report

Daniel Udoh's first-half header earned Salford City a hard-fought 1-0 win over 10-man Oldham Athletic in a League Two derby that was interrupted when pitch invaders attempted to plant a St George's flag inside the centre circle at the Peninsula Stadium.

The result ended Salford's run of three consecutive league defeats and was their first win since beating Swindon in September, while Oldham are now winless in four.

A Match Halted by Protest

Two men entered the field during the first half in protest at Salford co-owner Gary Neville, wearing white hoodies displaying the message "Gary Neville is a traitor". They were removed by stewards and then police, and are not thought to be supporters of either club.
