Sheffield United striker Tyrese Campbell has signed a new contract that will keep him at Bramall Lane until the summer of 2028. The 26-year-old, formerly of Manchester City and Stoke City, joined the Blades in August 2024, and manager Chris Wilder has moved to secure an extended stay for a forward he sees as central to the club's ambitions.
Campbell scored 11 goals in 36 Championship appearances during his first season in South Yorkshire. Last season was less prolific: six goals in 34 games, and his campaign ended early after knee surgery ruled him out from mid-March, following a 2-1 defeat at Norwich on 11 March. The operation was designed to have him ready for a full pre-season ahead of 2026-27.
"Tyrese is an important player for us and our aim is to get him consistently back to the standards he set when he first walked through the door," Wilder said. "A firing Tyrese Campbell is a major player for us and a major threat to the division, and if we can get him to those standards then there's no limit to what he can achieve here with us."
Sheffield United finished 13th in the Championship last season, on 60 points from 46 games, and Campbell's fresh contract comes as Wilder continues to build his squad for the campaign ahead.
