The left-back set up Stamenic's opener from a free-kick before crashing in a stunning volley on the stroke of half-time, earning new head coach Vitor Matos his first points in charge.
The result lifted Swansea above Oxford into 20th place, three points clear of the relegation zone, while Gary Rowett's side slipped to 21st after suffering a sixth away league defeat of the season. In a contest that Swansea controlled for long spells after a nervy start, Oxford created little until a late rally that was repelled by goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux and a more resilient home defence.
