Kabongo Tshimanga's penalty in the 77th minute earned Barnet a 2-2 draw with Cheltenham Town in League Two on 29 August, keeping their unbeaten start to the season intact. Charlie Lakin had put the hosts ahead in the 10th minute, but Ryan Broom and Charlie McCann scored for Cheltenham inside five minutes of the second half before Tshimanga levelled from the spot.
Barnet finished with 57 per cent of the possession and 13 shots to Cheltenham's ten, and won 11 corners to four. Cheltenham, though, put five of their shots on target to the hosts' two.
Lakin Strikes on the Counter
Cheltenham created the first clear opening, McCann working the ball to Jake Evans, but Matthew Cox in the Barnet goal made a fine save to deny Evans. Barnet then struck on the break: Tshimanga laid the ball off for Lakin, who found the bottom right corner from the edge of the area in the 10th minute.
