Tranmere Rovers stayed unbeaten in League Two with a 2-0 win over Oldham Athletic at Prenton Park, Dylan Jones scoring in the first half and Joe Ironside converting a late penalty.
The result stretched Rovers' run to five league games without defeat, two wins and three draws, and took them to nine points.
Jones Makes the Breakthrough
Tranmere had the first clear chance early on, but Jones saw his effort smothered by Oldham goalkeeper Matthew Hudson. He did not have to wait long for another. In the 16th minute Tom Ince played a perfectly weighted through ball and Jones latched onto it, finishing past Hudson from the edge of the box.
