Samson Tovide inspired Colchester United to a 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town, securing the U's their first win of the season.
Colchester struck either side of a Shrewsbury red card, with Tovide breaking the deadlock just before the hour and Kyreece Lisbie adding a second late on to settle a contest Shrewsbury had threatened to shape before the interval.
A Goalless First Half of Half-Chances
U's midfielder Arthur Read sent a 20th-minute effort over the crossbar, before Shrewsbury striker John Marquis drove into the box and skipped past two defenders on the half-hour, only for his shot to be deflected behind for a corner.
