Paris Saint-Germain opened the defence of their Champions League title with a 6-1 win over Slovan Bratislava at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday 9 September 2026, ending a run of four games without a victory.
Ferran Torres, signed from Barcelona in the summer, scored a hat-trick on his Champions League debut for the club, and Ousmane Dembélé added two goals and two assists. Suleiman Camara pulled one back for Slovan in the 57th minute before Fabián Ruiz made it 6-1 in the 86th.
Dembélé Strikes Twice in Six Minutes
Dembélé put PSG ahead in the 16th minute when a shot from Nuno Mendes hit the post and he controlled the rebound before steering it in. He chipped wide soon afterwards after being played in by Torres, but he did not have long to make amends. Slovan had just lost defender Kenan Bajric to injury and were punished for building from the back: a ball from Dro Fernández took a deflection and sat up for Dembélé to head in the second in the 22nd.
