Burton Albion captain Curtis Tilt scored in the 89th minute to earn a 2-2 League One draw with Cambridge United, cancelling out a second goal from Gassan Ahadme that had looked set to win the game for the visitors. Finn Delap had given Burton the lead in the 18th minute, Ahadme levelled in the 42nd and put Cambridge in front in the 64th.
The result leaves both clubs on eight points from five league games, each with two wins, two draws and a defeat. The sides' previous meeting, in April 2025, finished 2-1 to Burton.
Delap's opener, Ahadme's reply
Both teams arrived in good form, and it was Burton who broke through first. Raphael Borges Rodrigues, making his debut on loan from Coventry, spun on the edge of the area and hit the post with a shot, and the rebound fell to Delap, who scored for the second weekend running.
