Ten-man Celtic battled their way to a priceless point in Bologna, drawing 2-2 to retain hopes of Europa League progression after first-half goals from Reo Hatate and Auston Trusty were pegged back by Thijs Dallinga and Jonathan Rowe.
Hatate's red card just before half-time left Martin O'Neill's side a man light for the entire second period, during which Bologna piled on the pressure but could not find a winning third goal at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
Dream Start From A Goalkeeper's Gift
Bologna looked comfortable on the ball early on before Lukasz Skorupski's moment of madness in the sixth minute. The goalkeeper passed the ball straight to the lurking Daizen Maeda, who squared for his compatriot Hatate to roll into an empty net and send the travelling Celtic fans wild behind the goal.
