Reading substitute Kamari Doyle scored his first goal for the club to rescue a point for the Royals in a 1-1 draw with Doncaster at the SCL Stadium in League One.
Veteran Rovers striker Billy Sharp had put the visitors ahead in the 61st minute after a goalless first half, but Doyle, on loan from Brighton, levelled seven minutes later to help extend Reading's unbeaten home record to eight matches in all competitions.
Royals Sharper in a Scrappy Opening
Neither side impressed in the scrappy opening exchanges, but Reading showed more creativity going forward. Doncaster goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala made good saves to deny Charlie Savage and Lewis Wing from distance, while Ben Elliott drove narrowly wide.
