The discipline was one-sided. Sturm Graz collected three yellow cards, Balbo in the 50th minute, a second booking in the 61st and Gorenc Stankovic in the 96th, while Rennes went unbooked.
Both sides used five substitutes. Sturm Graz made their first change in the 45th minute, Malic replacing Vallci, and used their last two in the 80th, Seidl for Balbo and Gorenc Stankovic for Matoshi. Rennes waited until the 71st minute for their first, with Nordin on for Suleiman Al Tamari, and sent on Dia for Lepaul in the 85th, the last of their five.
