Lincoln City began their League One season with a 2-0 victory over Reading at the LNER Stadium, goals from Rob Street and Reeco Hackett securing the points for the Imps.
The hosts looked dangerous early on, with Conor McGrandles seeing a 16th-minute effort deflected wide, before they went ahead in the 21st minute. Reading rallied after the break but were repeatedly denied, and Hackett's calm finish midway through the second half settled the contest.
Street Strikes From a Tight Angle
Lincoln took the lead in the 21st minute when Rob Street latched on to George Wickens' long clearance and squeezed the ball past Joel Pereira from a tight angle with the help of a deflection.
