Strasbourg come from behind to end Crystal Palace's unbeaten run

— Match Report

Strasbourg twice came from behind on the scoreboard of missed chances to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at the Stade de la Meinau, ending the Premier League side's five-match unbeaten run and dealing a blow to their hopes of a top-eight finish in the UEFA Conference League league phase.

Tyrick Mitchell put Palace ahead in the 35th minute, but goals from captain Emanuel Emegha and 19-year-old substitute Samir El Mourabet turned the tie for the French hosts, with the visitors punished for a series of glaring misses.

Mateta's vision hands Palace the lead

The opener was crafted by Jean-Philippe Mateta, who controlled a long ball on the edge of the box, held off his markers and slipped Mitchell through with a cheeky pass. The left-back still had work to do from a tight angle but drilled a low finish into the far corner.
