Stockport County have signed the Leicester City defender Tom Wilson-Brown on a three-year deal, for a fee that has not been disclosed. The 21-year-old becomes Jimmy McNulty's 10th signing of the summer transfer window.
Wilson-Brown came through Leicester's academy system. He has previously spent time on loan with Scottish side Kilmarnock, as well as a loan spell last season with Swindon Town, where he made 26 appearances in all competitions.
"Tom has a great blend of physical and defensive attributes that we feel will complement our defensive unit really well," McNulty said. "He gives us healthy competition across the back line, while also providing us with different options from a tactical and technical perspective."
The signing continues a summer rebuild at Edgeley Park. McNulty arrived in June after leading Rochdale back into the English Football League via last season's National League play-off final at Wembley, replacing Dave Challinor, who left Stockport following their League One play-off final defeat by Bolton Wanderers. The rebuild has also brought in the defenders Eoghan O'Connell and Kyron Gordon, the winger Ryan Glover and the goalkeeper Oliver Whatmuff.
