Stockport County thrashed Wycombe Wanderers 5-1 at Edgeley Park, a first-half brace from Harry Wood setting up a one-sided League One matchday-three win in which four different players were on the scoresheet for the hosts.
Wood opened the scoring in the 15th minute and doubled it with a solo run in the 22nd. Cauley Woodrow pulled one back for Wycombe in the 42nd, but Kyle Wootton restored a two-goal cushion in the 55th and Jack Diamond stretched it to three with another solo finish in the 60th. Diamond made way for Mikaël Mandron in the 71st minute, and the substitute completed the rout in the 88th.
Neither side had a player booked or sent off. Wycombe made their first change at half-time and had used all five substitutions by the 76th minute; Stockport's five changes came across the second half's closing half-hour, the Diamond-for-Mandron switch in the 71st the one that produced a goal.
The win lifts Stockport County to third in League One on six points from three matches, two wins and a defeat with a +5 goal difference. Wycombe Wanderers drop to 22nd on two points, still without a win after three games, one defeat and two draws.
