Fleetwood Town were denied victory in stoppage-time fashion as ten-man Chesterfield rallied through Ryan Stirk to earn an unlikely 1-1 draw.
Ched Evans had given the hosts the lead midway through the second half after Kyle McFadzean's dismissal, only for Stirk to level in the 89th minute and rescue a point for the play-off hopefuls.
A Cagey Opening And A Warning Sign
With clear chances at a premium during the first half, Fleetwood went closest after 17 minutes when Ethan Ennis' cross caused havoc in the box. Both Evans and Mitch Clark saw attempts blocked on the line as the visitors scrambled clear.
