Crewe Alexandra left Colchester United with a 1-1 draw in League Two on Saturday, Josh Stephenson levelling in the 92nd minute after Harry Anderson had put the hosts in front in the 26th.
The point extended Crewe's unbeaten start to the league season and made it a fourth successive draw for the visitors. Colchester, who created most of the second half's chances, were left with a single point.
Anderson Heads Colchester Ahead
Crewe threatened first, with White and Lankester both going close, and Sesay almost scored with a first-time effort for Colchester. The opener came when Thorn collected a pass from Payne and sent over a fine cross, which Anderson headed in from close range. Anderson then curled an effort over the bar shortly before the break.
