Newport County claimed their first away point of the League Two season with a 0-0 draw at Accrington Stanley on Saturday, a result that left both sides still looking for a second league win.
Accrington, unbeaten at home this season, kept their first clean sheet since April but could not turn a bright start into a goal. Newport finished with more shots, 14 to 10, with four on target apiece, while Accrington had 58% of the possession.

The hosts had the better of the early stages at the Wham Stadium. Newport goalkeeper Jordan Wright made a double save to keep out Tyler Walton, then pushed away Charlie Caton's follow-up. Donald Love was booked for a foul in the 20th minute.
