Sporting CP began their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 win over Galatasaray in Lisbon, recovering from an own goal inside the first five minutes to take all three points.
Gonçalo Inácio put through his own net in the 4th minute, but Geny Catamo equalised in the 26th, Luis Suárez converted a penalty in the 56th and Rodrigo Zalazar curled in a free-kick in the 62nd to settle it.
Sporting reached the quarter-finals last season for the first time since 1983.
