Two goals in four second-half minutes earned Bromley an impressive 2-0 victory at Colchester, with Omar Sowunmi and Michael Cheek striking late to settle a tight contest.
For long periods the game was finely balanced, with chances at both ends and the goalkeepers prominent, but a clinical Bromley burst midway through the second half proved decisive as the visitors went on to hold on comfortably.
Goalkeepers To The Fore
Bromley goalkeeper Grant Smith kept out Samson Tovide's header from close range, while at the other end Will Hondermarck's volleyed effort on the turn sailed just wide for the visitors.
