Tyrese Shade's 11th goal of the season was enough to settle a scrappy encounter as Burton Albion beat Rotherham United 1-0 and climbed out of the League One relegation zone.
Burton grew into the game after a slow start, with Rotherham looking to capitalise on any tiredness in the Brewers squad having played 120 minutes against Premier League club West Ham in the FA Cup at the weekend.
Shade Sharp When It Mattered
Shade remained as sharp as a tack midway through the first half. Jake Beesley's ball into the box was scuffed by Kyran Lofthouse, with Shade on hand to tuck home into the bottom corner.
