Wigan were convincing 3-0 winners over early League One high-flyers Doncaster at the Brick Community Stadium, with two rapid first-half goals laying the foundations for a comfortable afternoon.
Doncaster's inability to deal with set-pieces proved decisive, and although they survived to half-time, Fraser Murray's strike early in the second period ended any thoughts of a comeback.

Rovers goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala was unable to deal with an 11th-minute corner from Joseph Hungbo, and Dara Costelloe bundled the ball home from a yard to open the scoring.
