Bradford City clinched a third straight League One win as they beat Reading 2-0 at Valley Parade to stay second. Antoni Sarcevic and Bobby Pointon both scored their seventh goals of the season in the second half to settle a contest that had been scrappy before the interval.
Bradford created the first chance with Stephen Humphrys fizzing in a low shot that was well saved by Joel Pereira, but Reading carved out the clearest opening of a cagey opening period before the home side took control after the break.
A Scrappy First Half
Reading should have punished Aden Baldwin's short backpass, which Kamari Doyle latched on to in the box. Home goalkeeper Sam Walker blocked his shot before Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan drove the rebound over the crossbar.
