Shrewsbury Town piled more misery on Tranmere Rovers with a 1-0 victory at New Meadow, Sam Stubbs scoring the only goal of the contest to leave Pete Wild's side just three points above the League Two relegation zone.
Wild is still waiting for his first win since taking charge last month, having overseen four games of a nine-match winless run. The draw at Fleetwood in his first match at the helm remains Tranmere's only point since mid-February, and they have just one win from their previous 16 outings.

Stubbs had already signalled his threat before the breakthrough, nodding over the crossbar from a Shrewsbury set piece. The hosts kept pressing, and only an excellent save from Rovers goalkeeper Marko Marosi denied Bradley Ihionvien after a beautifully struck effort.
