Salford City have signed the goalkeeper Tom Myles from Rochdale on a one-year deal, the League Two club have confirmed.
Now 20, Myles made five senior appearances for Rochdale last season without ever establishing himself as a first-team regular at Spotland Stadium, and was among a group of players who left the club out of contract after their promotion from the National League.
Myles spent more than a decade at Manchester United, joining the academy at six years old. He turned professional there in 2024, before being released in 2025.
He is Salford's 12th arrival of a busy summer under new manager Peter Cklamovski, who arrived from the Malaysia national team and replaced Karl Robinson after last season's play-off final defeat to Notts County, a 3-0 loss at Wembley that ended Salford's bid to reach the third tier. Salford had already added goalkeeping depth this summer, signing Sam Long from Bromley on a two-year deal in July, and Myles arrives as further competition for the number one spot.
