Rotherham United 3-3 Salford City: Langstaff's penalty rescues a point for ten-man Salford

· Match Report

Salford City came from behind with ten men to draw 3-3 at Rotherham United in League Two, Macaulay Langstaff converting a 73rd-minute penalty for his first goal for the club in the sides' first ever league meeting.

Salford were 2-0 up by the 30th minute, Rotherham levelled and then moved 3-2 ahead, and Abraham Odoh's red card left the visitors a man short before Langstaff's equaliser. Rotherham had the better of the numbers, with 20 attempts to Salford's 10 and nine on target to five, and edged possession 51 per cent to 49, but had to settle for a point.

Ryan Graydon volleyed Salford in front at the far post in the eighth minute, and Joe Powell, who left Rotherham in the summer, doubled the lead in the 30th with a strike from distance that flew into the top corner.

The home side were level within four minutes. Brandon Cover stroked in his first goal in Rotherham colours in the 32nd minute, and Paul Mullin kept his nerve from the penalty spot in the 34th after Ossama Ashley was brought down in the area. Ashley then gave Rotherham the lead in the 54th minute with a fierce low drive.
