Rotherham United and York City shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the AESSEAL New York Stadium as League Two's second round of fixtures was played out. The result leaves Rotherham 17th with a point from two games (W0 D1 L1); York climb to 6th on four points (W1 D1 L0).
Ewan Otoo put Rotherham ahead from a set piece in the 19th minute, but Alex Newby levelled from open play for York in the 39th, and the sides went in level at the break.
Two Rotherham players were booked for fouls: Jili Buyabu in the 77th minute and Brandon Cover in the 93rd. Both sides made four substitutions, three of them enforced by injury: York's Zak Johnson inside the first half hour, in the 29th minute, replaced by Ryan Fallowfield; Rotherham's Lenny Agbaire in the 66th, with Joe Rafferty on; and Rotherham captain Paul Mullin in the 75th, with Ar'Jany Martha on.
