Callum Robinson's late goal saw Cardiff City stretch their lead at the top of League One thanks to a deserved 1-0 victory at promotion rivals Stevenage.
The substitute, only on the pitch for four minutes, broke Stevenage's resistance five minutes from time, controlling the ball outside the area before guiding a half-volley inside the far post from 20 yards. It was his sixth goal of the season and secured Cardiff's fourth successive league win.
Defence Against Attack
The fixture pitted contrasting strengths against each other: Cardiff are the leading scorers in the division, while Stevenage carried the best defensive record in the English Football League. When the game eventually got under way, 15 minutes later than planned because of bad weather affecting the journeys of travelling fans, it quickly became apparent that nothing would come easy for Cardiff against Alex Revell's disciplined team.
