The Hatters went close early on when Emilio Lawrence blazed over and Nahki Wells saw an attempt charged down, while Posh also threatened, with Jimmy Jay-Morgan slamming over.
Richards Pounces and a Penalty Spurned
Town led after 20 minutes when Kal Naismith's pass was collected by an alert Jake Richards, who slipped the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Alex Bass. Archie Collins then fired off target for the visitors before they were awarded a dubious penalty in the 35th minute.
