Reading came from behind to draw 1-1 with Bradford City at the SCL Stadium, denying the visitors the outright lead of League One. Jake Beesley headed Bradford in front in the third minute and Udoka Godwin-Malife levelled in the 65th.
Bradford were without a manager, Graham Alexander having left for Championship club Preston on Monday, so Mark Trueman and Colin Doyle shared interim charge. Plymouth's 2-0 win at Leyton Orient the same afternoon put them top on goal difference, with Bradford second.
Beesley Heads City In Front
Bradford were quickest out of the blocks. Bobby Pointon got away on the left and delivered a precise cross, which Beesley met with a firm header for his first goal of the season.
