The hosts looked impressive throughout the first half but were unable to find the breakthrough, with Reeco Hackett putting a presentable chance wide and Lee Nicholls saving brilliantly from Freddie Draper.

Huddersfield grew into the game and took the lead after making a strong start to the second half. Alfie May's brilliant first touch got him into the box only for his shot to be saved, but May then crossed the rebound over goalkeeper George Wickens' head for Leo Castledine to head home.
