West Brom fought back to beat Championship promotion favourites Burnley 3-1 at the Hawthorns, with a brace from Isaac Price completing the turnaround. Callum Styles turned Jacob Bruun Larsen's cross into his own net off his heel in the seventh minute to put Burnley ahead.
West Brom levelled in the 17th minute when Harry Whitwell slotted home from 12 yards, his first league goal for the club, after Jimmy-Jay Morgan's flick-on from Price's cross wrongfooted Burnley and Bashir Humphreys failed to clear. Burnley responded: Jacob Bruun Larsen's side-footed effort from Marcus Edwards' cross came back off the foot of the post.
Price put West Brom ahead for the first time in the 45th minute, curling a shot past goalkeeper Max Weiss after he had strayed off his line. Burnley sent on Ugo Raghouber, Zeki Amdouni and Dastan Satpayev in a triple change just before the hour, and Amdouni tested Max O'Leary from 20 yards. But West Brom scored again when Bashir Humphreys brought down Whitwell in the box, and Price sent Weiss the wrong way from the spot in the 64th minute.
Burnley were without injured striker Zian Flemming, the subject of transfer speculation. The result kept West Brom unbeaten and lifted them to second in the Championship table, level on points with leaders Millwall but behind on goal difference, after two wins from two league games.
