QPR and Bristol City extended their recent unbeaten runs with a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road, although the result felt more frustrating than satisfying for both sides. Bristol City carried the greater threat for long spells, especially before the interval, but Joe Walsh produced the saves that kept Rangers level.
QPR had moments of their own, with Kieran Morgan, Richard Kone and Paul Smyth all going close, and home fans were lifted by Rumarn Burrell's return after more than three months out. Yet neither side found the quality to turn a hard-fought contest into a decisive one, and with the gap to the top six now eight points, their already slim play-off hopes look all but gone.
Walsh keeps the visitors at bay
Bristol City were sharper from the outset and asked the bigger questions in the first half. Their best opening fell to Scott Twine, who could not connect properly with a half-volley, but Walsh still had to stay alert to gather. The QPR goalkeeper then dealt with a shot from Mark Sykes as the visitors continued to find space in dangerous areas.
