Plymouth Argyle defied their lowly place in League One to put in a dominant performance as they overwhelmed Stockport County 4-2 at Home Park, soaring out of the relegation zone in the process.
Tom Cleverley's new-look Argyle led through a Kyle Wootton own goal and a stunning Caleb Watts strike, and although Oliver Norwood pulled one back from a controversial penalty, Bradley Ibrahim and Lorent Tolaj sealed a deserved three points before Wootton's late consolation for last season's play-off semi-finalists.
An Argyle Lead Forged in Confusion
Stockport started the brighter as Jayden Fevrier impressed down the right, the forward's 11th-minute cross finding Nathan Lowe whose deft flick almost picked out Wootton in the penalty area.
