Plymouth Argyle 2-0 Bradford City: Pleguezuelo and White seal first league win of the season

Plymouth Argyle beat Bradford City 2-0 at Home Park in matchday three of the League One season, Julio Pleguezuelo opening the scoring late in the first half before Harvey White doubled the lead early in the second half.

Pleguezuelo's goal came in the 43rd minute and White's in the 49th. Bradford's Jake Beesley was the first player cautioned, inside the 1st minute, with Plymouth's Wes Harding shown yellow in the 32nd and Bradford's Callum Connolly booked late on, in the 87th. No player was sent off.

Bradford made two changes at half-time, sending on Bobby Pointon and Adam Phillips for Will Swan and Kayden Jackson, then introduced Nick Powell for Beesley in the 62nd minute and Reece Welch for Matthew Pennington in the 63rd. Plymouth's substitutions came later: Xavier Amaechi replaced Oliver Irow in the 70th minute, Bradley Ibrahim came on for Aribim Pepple in the 83rd, and Caleb Watts replaced Ronan Curtis in the 91st.

The win was Plymouth's first of the League One season, after an opening defeat to Stockport County and a draw at Wycombe Wanderers; they move to 12th on four points from three games. Bradford, previously unbeaten with two wins from two, suffer their first loss of the season and drop to sixth on six points.
