Peterborough United have signed the winger Ethan Williams from Manchester United on a long-term deal, for a fee the League One club have described as sizeable.
Williams, 20, did not make a senior start during his time at Old Trafford, but was part of United's squad for their pre-season tour of Finland, Norway and Sweden this summer, and was among the scorers as United beat Rosenborg in a match that also featured goals from academy contemporaries Shea Lacey, Jacob Devaney and Harry Amass.
He arrives at Peterborough having already spent time away from United on loan, at League Two side Cheltenham Town and, most recently, Scottish Premiership club Falkirk, where he made 22 appearances last season.
Williams becomes Peterborough's latest addition to a squad being reshaped by manager Luke Williams, who has been rebuilding after Peterborough finished 18th in League One last season. He follows the winger Owura Edwards, who signed from Colchester United in June.
