Plymouth continued their play-off charge in League One with a convincing 3-0 victory at struggling Wigan, who slipped into the relegation zone on goals scored. A clinical burst before the interval set the tone for a comfortable afternoon for the visitors.
Bim Pepple struck twice either side of the half-hour mark before Caleb Watts added a third in the second half, leaving Wigan to rue both their finishing and a controversial moment that went against them.
A Two-Minute Spell That Settled It
On-loan Huddersfield striker Joe Taylor fired over for Wigan early on, but the home side were soon made to pay as Plymouth seized control with two goals in the space of two minutes just before half-time.
