Callum Paterson was the match-winner as MK Dons edged past Bristol Rovers 1-0 at Stadium MK to move up to second in League Two.
A hard-fought contest was decided by Paterson's close-range finish in first-half stoppage-time, with Rovers unable to find a way back despite a string of late chances.
