Crystal Palace came from behind twice at Craven Cottage to beat Fulham 3-2, with Ben Chilwell, back at the club after signing from Strasbourg on deadline day, scoring the winner three minutes after coming on as a substitute. Tyrick Mitchell scored in the 34th and 53rd minutes to cancel out goals from Josh King and César Palacios, and the result gave Pierre Sage his first win as Palace head coach.
It left Fulham without a point after three league games under Álvaro Arbeloa, following defeats at Sunderland and at home to Chelsea, which also finished 3-2. Fulham and Coventry City are the only sides to have lost their opening three Premier League games this season. Some home supporters booed at full time, even though Fulham had 64% of the possession and took 25 shots to Palace's 10.
"We didn't deserve to lose this game," Arbeloa said afterwards. His side had led twice in the first half.
