Oxford United hit back from 2-1 down to salvage a point against MK Dons at the Kassam Stadium, Ciaron Brown's stoppage-time equaliser completing a 2-2 draw. Mark Harris put Oxford ahead in the 19th minute, before Charlie Goode levelled for MK Dons in the 28th and Aaron Collins put the visitors in front in the 33rd. Brown's leveller arrived in the 94th minute. MK Dons created more chances despite seeing less of the ball, finishing with 24 attempts on goal to Oxford's 17 and six on target to four, against Oxford's 63% possession.
There were five yellow cards and no reds. Marvin Ekpiteta was booked first, for a foul in the 50th minute, before Cameron Brannagan picked up Oxford's caution for dissent in the 61st. Both second-half scorers were then booked (Goode for a foul in the 75th, Harris in the 90th), and substitute Jay Matete was cautioned in the 93rd. MK Dons used four substitutes, Jack Sanders replacing the injured Goode in the 77th; Oxford made three changes, the last two, Peter Kioso and Mo Missanga, arriving in the 76th and 77th minutes.
The draw leaves Oxford United 10th in the early League One table with a point from their opening game, MK Dons one place better off in ninth on the same tally.
