Fred Onyedinma scored twice as Wycombe Wanderers edged out Northampton Town 2-1 at Sixfields. His early strike was cancelled out by Jon Guthrie, but his second-half winner took the Chairboys up to ninth in League One.
Defeat left Northampton dropping into the relegation zone, while Wycombe secured just a second away win of the season after managing the closing stages well.
Onyedinma Strikes First
Nesta Guinness-Walker's long-range piledriver had goalkeeper Will Norris flapping early on, but it was Wycombe who struck first in the 17th minute when Onyedinma latched onto Dan Casey's long throw and slotted past Ross Fitzsimons.
