Notts County have signed Northampton Town midfielder Dean Campbell for an undisclosed fee, with the 25-year-old agreeing a three-year contract with the Magpies.
The Scot began his career at Aberdeen and had loan spells at Kilmarnock and Stevenage before two years at Barrow, where he made 86 appearances. He joined Northampton last year before this move to Notts.
Campbell is the latest arrival in a busy summer of transfer business at Notts, who secured promotion to League One with victory over Salford City in the League Two play-off final in May. The club have already added James Gibbons, Callum Roberts, Max Sanders and Darius Lipsiuc since sealing their return to the third tier.
Notts director of football Richard Montague told the club website: "Dean is another well-rounded addition to our midfield, being an accomplished passer of the ball as well as being physically and athletically up to the level. We think our system complements his style and that he'll be able to play different roles within it. Dean has strong experience in League One and the SPL and it's great to have him on board."
